October was wonderful month celebrating Fall with lots of festivities and our Annual Monster Bash held at Beulah Park!

Sponsored by our Alexandria-Monroe Historical Society and Museum, Madison Co. Historian Stephen Jackson spoke at our Monroe Twp. Trustees Office about ‘Small Town USA’. It was a fascinating presentation, while Mr. Jackson was cracking jokes, Madison Co. residents (many from Alex) learned about our history!

The Alexandria Care Center had their Fall Festival. It was held on their grounds, with a bounce house, slide, face painting, bingo, silent auction and even a dance party! Keep a look out for next year, I hear there will be a car show, and horses added!

Our Annual Monster Bash was a Screaming success!!! Thank you to the volunteers, Alexandria Community Schools and the City of Alexandria. Everyone braved the Rain, and had a lot of fun! My favorite group costume had to be the Addams Family! Whom of course did not smile for the picture 🙂

From everyone at the Chamber, we hope you stay warm and have a wonderful November! Enjoy your family over Thanksgiving, we’ll be seeing you around.
Sincerely,
Ashley O.
